C is for... Captain Britain Cuddling Cerebus

Here is today's A-Z entry!

C is for... Captain Britain Cuddling Cerebus

See, drawing that has just put me in a lovely mood for the day. Many thanks to Mark Bickley who suggested it, on the Neill's A-Z of Awesomeness Facebook Group. Why not head over there yourself and suggest some awesome things beginning with E or F (or indeed whatever you like)?

Captain Britain is one of my favourite characters in comics, for a number of reasons, a large one of which being that he had the good fortune to be often drawn by Alan Davis, one of the most talented chaps ever to gracefully wave a pencil at a page of comics. One day I will compose a proper long blog entry about my deep and abiding love for Alan Davis. Suffice to say, he is firmly ensconced in my personal Pantheon.

Cerebus is.. an aardvark. I am ashamed to admit I have never read it. I hope I drew his tail right?

  1. E... Hmmm - how about the Elongated Man Eavesdropping on Eddie the Eagle?

  3. These are great, but ... wouldn't "Captain Canuck" be a better choice for C?

  4. Cerebus is from Melmac? Is it just me or does he look a little like Alf (aka Gordon Shumway)? And why do I know that without looking it up? Useless information, get out of my head!

  5. Cerebus is not from melmac, and yes, in this drawing he looks more like alf than cerebus

  7. Captain Canuck being Canadian wasn't obvious enough for you?

    Seriously?

Canadian Creations Captain Canuck and Cerebus Cuddling?

Took me two seconds to think of that.

  8. This is exactly how my brain imagines Cerebus reacting if Captain Britain ever hugged him. Thank you for putting this on the planet! x
